[AT] OT Bicycle mechanics.

I met one of these "ancient" bicycle mechanics on Friday. He must be
ancient because he is older than I!

A friend and business acquaintance of mine is coming to Boise from Russia
for a course he is taking at Boise State University, and he wanted a bike to
get around campus while he was here for the eight week course.

I took an early Motobecane racing bike in for a tune-up and tire replacement
(yeah, I'm lazy occasionally) and the owner of the shop recognized the
French made frame before he even saw the logo or manufacturer's name. He
had more knowledge about this (over 40 years of age) bike than I ever
imagined or could find on the internet. If I ever decide to sell it, I'll
certainly take it back to him, as he has a couple of triathletes who want
this particular model for training and I'd like to see it get a good home
with someone who would really us it as its designed and actually knows its
value.
