The 9n evolved from June 39 to Dec 41, many changes. The 2n (9n serial no)
was invented to meet govt controls during WW2, and it had few changes until it
ended in 1947.
Most pure 9ns are gone to salvage.
The 8n has never had a market value below its original list price. 8n
dealers were known to sell 2-12 8ns per day.
The was such a demand for 2ns after ww2, my uncle was lucky to find one
and drove it 700 miles home.

A date code such as 9C6 on the axle, means 9 march 1946, casting date only.
The tractor would be a few weeks younger.

All these units, 9n2n, were sold to Harry Ferguson, the distributor. Henry
Ford made no money on them. Ford made a profit on the 8n, but it was given to
Ferguson in a lawsuit.
