[AT] Case SC

Richard----Something is backward if the fan is turning clockwise when viewed
from the operator seat. The Fan should turn clockwise when facing the front
of the tractor.

To get the tractor engine to turn in the proper direction then your starter
should turn clockwise when facing the drive end.

It is possible to reverse the direction of a DC motor by reversing the
relationship of the fields and the armature. That is by changing the
polarity of the voltage to either the field coils or the armature. (not
both)

To get the starter to turn the engine in the wrong direction I would think
both the starter motor would have to be wired for reversal and a different
drive unit installed.

Hope this is correct. Jump in if I'm wrong.

Doug+ Gene Thanks i have a case SC that has always started very easy. I
have been playing with it on and off last two weeks can't get it to run.
Have spark-gas and checked the timing plugs are not getting wet . The only
thing that has been changed on it is the starter. bendix would not always
kick in so had it rebuilt. The fan turns clock wise from operators seat so
i think that would make the starter turning counter clock wise. It sits on
the right and the flywheel would be turning down right. It sure has me
beat. ?????????????????????
