Well said, Grant. I have been thinking the same thing lately.
On the tractor front,,, we are still buried in snow here in Sask. Four days 
of SE wind produced drifts hard enough to hold up the combined weight of the 
Cockshtt 40 and six foot snowblower. Fingers can still freeze up pretty 
quickly even at +25 degrees but I am making a little progress on the 
Cockshutt 50. I started the teardown and replacement of the front crankshaft 
seal on the engine as the oil leakage was getting pretty serious.
I also installed a "dura sleeve" on the old pulley as it showed wear on the 
seal contact area. I should have it together and running before the snow is 
gone with a little luck.
