[AT] 8-volt batteries in 6-volt tractors

I think 630s were 12V with two 6V batteries in series.  

The correct answer is to leave your tractor 6V and replace the cables with
LARGE cables so that the 6V battery will work properly.

If i remember right my neighbors JD 630 is 8  volt if so you might try to
adapt the generator and regulator from one of them.  there may also be other
8 volt tractors out there. I'm sure someone on the list  must know of some.
