Ralph:
	I like John Deere's "corn head grease" for leaky gearboxes.  I believe it
was designed for the semi-open gearboxes on JD corn pickers, choppers, and
combines.  It is a semi-fluid grease that tends to stay put, but still gets
runny when it is stirred (I know that doesn't make any sense, but...).  My
New Holland #258 hay rake also uses grease as factory fill in its' gearbox,
although it is obviously a different type of application from your mower.
