[Steam-engine] Crank position

I am getting the crankshaft lined up to pour new
bearings.  I know to find the vertical position by
lining the center of the crank up to the center of the
cylinder bore.  How do I find the proper fore/aft
position of the crankshaft?  My Huber is equipped with
a Woolf reverse if that matters.
