[AT] New Live-in Companion

Gene,
  My Step Dad had a German Shepard mix when I was a teenager One day  he came 
and complained about drinking to much beer and not even getting a little  
drunk then he noticed the dog go by and grab the can by the top and tip it up  
and take a few good swallows. 
My wife's little 2.5 lb. Pom would sneak a few sips of my coke out of the  
glass if I sat it down on the ground by my lawn chair.
 
The dog I have now is half Border Collie and half Black Lab she's worthless  
except as a companion when I'm out running the tractor she loves to run along 
in  front of it while plowing or other field work. 
Her Mother is my Border Collie she's my cow dog and know exactly what to do  
to keep the cows in the pasture. She will come in at night and lie down on the 
 couch beside me and demand that I rub her neck and back. 
I feel sorry for people who hate dogs they just don't know what they are  
missing.
