[AT] DOT Question

My only experience with being checked was entering the Pennsylvania
turnpike at New Stanton entrance. I was checked by the Pa. patrol. At the
time I did not have a breakaway brake controller for my trailer. I was told
I would have to park it and pay a $90.00 fine and not be able to move it
until I had the controller on it. I explained that it wasn't required in
Ohio and he finally relented when I promised to put one on when I got to
Ohio. He probably thought I was coming home at the time, but I was on the
outbound trip to Massachussetts to Dave Cesan's to pick up a couple
tractors. I drove across half of Pa., New York, Connecticutt and into Mass.
and then back the next night. I just knew every patrolman on every road knew
I was a danger on the highway.

                            Gene
