Clean! CLean!! CLEan!!! CLEAn!!!! CLEAN!!!!! If you
want your paint to stay on you need to oil/grease
free. The higher the quality paint the cleaner it
needs to be. You can paint rustoleum onver
dirt/grease but Delstar (PPG) or Imron (Dupont) will
lift almost immediately. I like to use one of the
purple degreasers. It is sold under several brand
names but I think it is all the same stuff. remember
that running the engine will fling oil all over. You
can prime/paint as you go then I recommend that you
paint over everything after it is assembled. When
painting be sure to use breathing filters. At meast
go with a low price carbon filter.
