Some years ago my uncle had a NH 268 baler that kept shearing pins. After a 
couple of hours of troubleshooting they found the problem; a damn piece of 
metal kept getting in the way of the plunger arm. Using some good German 
ingenuity they found a way to wire that metal out of the way, and away they 
went. Five hours later,450 dollars poorer, a few hours work by the baler 
repair man, a new set of needles, and the proper timing ; and they were 
baling right along.
