Gotta admit, while I was inspecting the trans I tried to envision how
some guys could use a screwdriver thru the lube plug hole to slip the
gears back into neutral. I mean, w/o seeing what you're doing, it
wouldn't be easy to get that blade at the perfect angle and depth. But
I guess if you've done enough times, you'd finally get the hang of it.
Me? I'd have to pop the cover every time. Besides, even tho it was the
first time I'd done it (had to also remove the deck tube, seat &
battery), it only took me a half hour. Just seems like it makes more
sense to repair it rather than to keep having to lever it back into
neutral.
