    Have you considered a 12 volt generator? I have had good luck
using Ford generators from the late 50's and early 60's. They usually
bolt to the same brackets. With a 35 amp output, they will be all you
need.

I am wanting to upgrade the 350 to 12v alternator.  And have a problem
as not enough room under hood for the Delco 1 wire. Does anyone know
of a unit small enough to fit where the generator is now ?  I DONT
want to cut the hood !
