David we have very good cable here through Cox Communications in my
neighborhood and Time Warner down the road a ways. We also have DSL but
the cable got here first so that is what I have. Our cable and our DSL is
fiber optic to within less than a mile of my house. That makes a big
difference. Cox Communications has without a doubt the best customer
service I've ever had on an internet connection. If I have a Cable TV
problem it might take a day or two but if I call and tell them I have an
Internet problem I get someone live on the phone within seconds 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year. If the cable is not cut or disconnected somewhere
they can look at the system from their end and tell me exactly what the
problem is. If it's on their end they have someone out here within a few
hours. If it's on my end they will often talk me through the solution even
though they don't have to.
