Trailer safety (was Re: [AT] OT Darwin

A fellow I know was in the pecan harvesting business and used several
trailers to haul tractors and just drove them on left them in gear killed
the engine, set the brakes and took of down the highway
even on the Interstate system.  One was a really large Belarus with the
shaker attached.

After mentioning to him how unsafe it was to haul unsecured loads he told me
that he would never get anyything done if he tied all the tractors to the
trailers.

So far he has never lost a load.
