[AJD] john deere 400 garden tractor

slightly off antique topic...but...it is 2cyl..and ~30 yrs old...

has anyone repowered a JD 400 lawn/garden tractor w/ the honda
engines thru small engine warehouse?  i recently bought
a parts JD 400 w/ a blown engine (blown 2x in 3yrs) and
am thinking about using the honda engine instead of
attempting a rebuild.  any words of wisdom from the list?

small engine warehouse is now selling these hondas on ebay,
(search 'deere 400 honda' )and pricewise, they are comparable 
to paying for a rebuild--cheaper actually (i found this out
the hard way on my original running 400)
