[AT] Tractors...in Hawaii?

Roger........I have only your best interest at heart, trying to save you the
effort of having to endure the hardships of the islands in your effort to
help your friend, but perhaps you should suggest he look around the
mainland, or even the Eastern Rim. Freight by sea is generally cheaper than
the land charges we are used to here on the mainland. I can get 4,000 lbs
from Shanghai to Seattle for the same cost as I can get the same shipment
from Seattle to Boise. You can get a full 40 ft container, 5 tractors,
shipped from Viet Nam to Seattle for 2700. Try shipping them from new York
to LA for that price! Buying a tractor here in the lower 48 at competitive
prices, plus the freight, would probably be cheaper that paying the price to
a Hi dealer who feels they have a captive market.
