[AJD] Reunion on the River - Gathering of the Green

An exciting week is nearing as the John Deere Collectors Center prepares to 
celebrate its fifth year of operation highlighted by the REUNION ON THE RIVER 
which will take place in Moline, IL from June 22 through July 2, 2005.  
Activities include a tractor and equipment show, swap meet, pedal tractor pull, 
tractor drive, auction and street dance -- to name a few. It will be a great week 
with something for everyone to enjoy.  Don't miss it!

Collectors Center officials met with Gathering of the Green board members 
well over a year ago to share their Reunion plans.  Recently, there has been some 
concern expressed that the Reunion event is in direct conflict with the 
Gathering.  Please know that the Gathering board of directors has given its full 
support to the Reunion on the River.  The Collectors Center has always given its 
full support to the Gathering, and the Gathering Board, in turn, encourages 
all two-cylinder enthusiasts to come to Moline and enjoy the festivities 
associated with the Reunion.

Whether you own, restore or collect old two-cylinder tractors and equipment, 
or simply admire these beautiful antique green and yellow machines, it's a 
wonderful hobby.  The Gathering of the Green and the John Deere Collectors Center 
share the same goals...to provide opportunities, activities, and services 
that will assure that two-cylinder enthusiasts can better enjoy their unique 
hobby.  It is only fitting, therefore, that Gathering of the Green planners and 
Collectors Center officials support each other's efforts.  

Regardless of the event -- the Gathering of the Green, The Reunion On The 
River, Two-Cylinder Expo, Two-Cylinder Days, tractor shows, or parades, John 
Deere enthusiasts are encouraged to take part.  As you make your plans, be sure to 
put the 2006 Gathering of the Green on your calendar - March 8, 9, 10 & 11.
