Dean, doesnt' your air compressor have an automatic shut off switch? Mine 
automatically shuts off at about 120 psi and I have left it switched on all 
the time. I do turn off the air valve as there is a slight leak in the air 
hose which will cause the compressor to cut in unnecessarily as the pressure

drops.
