Cecil,
I am also on roadrunner and experience the same thing. The lag is anywhere from several hours to well over a day.

RoadRunner started returning my mail to me when it was
undeliverable after 48 hours of trying after I complained about
the delay in sending my emails to the List. When RoadRunner tries to
send my email to the List thru Spencer's server, it gets a message
from them saying they are not accepting mail. I get the explanation
that it is because RoadRunner allows spammers to use their services
but I don't think that is the whole story. I believe all providers
are used by spammers until they get caught. I am fed up with it
because I cannot post to the List and depend on my mail going thru
at all. Mostly it takes from several hours to several days. I can
send email to anyone on the List and I guarantee it will be there
right away. I know what I have been told but think, personally, that
someone's parameters are set too tight. I belong to several forums
and never have trouble sending mail to them. You post a reply and
it shows up on the forums immediately.

I, too, appreciate Spencer's efforts but something is not
right here and needs fixing. I'm going to go take a nap now because
none of you will see this for some time.
