Hi George:

I was planning on changing it on this post... :-) which is still off topic... ;-)
My first car that was all mine was a 1952 Plymouth flathead 6 with only tiny modifications to the engine.
Some light valve work including light porting and polishing during a routine valve job and a 2 barrel carb from a
flat head Ford V-8 sitting on an aluminum adapter. The old buggy would run 105... I shudder to remember
some of the old tires I ran back then. :-) The next car was a 1953 Dodge equipped with a Hemi and full
rocker panel rust. Followed by a 1956 Ford with a 312. Should have been hung for trading that one for a #$%
& 1961 Ford Falcon with a 144 CID (got married).
As soon as I clean up several important projects in the works Scott and I are going to start a fairly full
restoration on a 1965 Ford Mustang. 289, 4 speed, heavy suspension, rally pack... Has less than 500 miles on
a full professional engine rebuild done about 1978. It also got a new clutch while the engine was out (old one
was like new). Has been parked ever since but has been ran and warmed up several times over the years.
Body is solid except floor pans. Needs new padded dash, headliner and while the original white upholstery is
mostly there the stitching has let go on much of it. Bumpers were rechromed about 1985 but have rusted
since. The tires on the silly thing have stayed up all these years. I won't be running 105 on those... ;-)
Actually Scott may start this project for me. We plan to put it in his garage and he is planning on going
through it replacing brakes, brake cylinders, tires, any bad wiring, packing wheel bearings etc. It will change
from a dark blue to candy apple red metalic...(not metal flake) Scott wants it when I get done with it. Restored
and kept in it should be worth a chunk of change...
My mother bought this car new in summer 1965 and it didn't have a whole lot of miles on it as she just
drove it to the school where she was guidence director and their van was used for all traveling. She bought a
new car in 1978 and had intentions of a full restoration then. She got halfway there and had a cheap attack
and couldn't bring herself to spend the money to finish it (she was never short of money) - (some of my family
members have been even more strange than I am). ;-)

On a tractor note I just had a fleeting image pass by of my #$%& Farmall CUB with a red metal flake
paint job with orange and black flames but I am over it now... ;-)
