George I'm mighty glad to see you on the computer again. I told Rick to haul you around to the shows this spring if you were not up to loading and driving.

  Here's another way of saying what I think Mike means... tie the alternate 
  cross bars together in pairs, right in the center.  An old set of car tire 
  chains would be a source of material to do it... much cheaper than replacing 
  the set of chains.
