[AJD] ok to start 830?

Why would you want to run the tractor with the clutch and pulley out of
the tractor? Not a good idea. The oil would be the least of my worries
about running the tractor in that condition. It would be unsafe with
the exposed end of the crankshaft. I am not sure on an 830, but the
driver disk on other 2 cylinder tractors helps balance the crankshaft.
I think you are asking for trouble if you start the engine without the
pulley and clutch in place.

I have the clutch and related parts (Pully wheel and gears) off my JD830
(2
cylinder version). While i am working on this project, can I safely run
the
tractor? Or will there be oil flying out everywhere??

Thanks, Kreig
