Probably the easiest thing would be some rough cut bridge timbers.  Or rough
cut oak 2 X 6's tied together to make some runners.

We have used old tires for crossing the paved roads.

  Do you know what can be used to protect cement floors so that a
crawler can be brought into a barn? Something easy like a roll out runner?
