I don't know but that would be some ride.  I was way into the battleship
when I was in about the 4-6th grade.  One of the former officers on The
Showboat (not the captain but he was way up there) wrote a good-sized
paperback book about her and I just about wore it out.  It covered
technical aspects of the ship and a fairly complete history of it,
including the campaign to save her in the 60's.  Incidentally last I
knew he had retired to Jacksonville, not sure if he is still living or
not.  It's still a pretty fascinating thing to me, and I want to take
the tour again as I haven't been in probably 15 years.

One more tidbit, my former principle's father was a sailor aboard the
North Carolina in WWII.
