The main problem with trains is that they takes months to move something  
where it takes days on a truck and it goes direct to from the seller to the  
buyer.  Trains must have it trucked to them then trucked from the train  depot to 
the buyer. Not very efficient
 
I remember as kid seeing two big Malley engines pulling 80 cars of fruit  
from my home town to the cities back east. by the time it got there it wasn't  
fit to eat.
 even with ice in the cars.
