[AT] Gasoline $

My opinion, prices will not go down if we even cut usage in half!

Just like in regulated energy areas, the utilities want more price increases if
usage is up, but when usage is cut, then they request increases if production is
down claiming their costs are more per unit since production is down.

Gas/Diesel costs will continue to go up as inflation and regulatory costs go up
foreever, even if an alternative fuel was invented tomorrow, then the same
ballgame will continue with it

The biggest reason prices go up is because people will pay it, when people quit on
their own buying it then the prices will go down. That is simple economics.
Competition is what we need, not laws, etc.

If the Gov. would get their hands out of it, then we may just get some
competition? Since the early 70's when the Gov. decided that they really needed to
get in and handle things, we lost all the Mom and Pop stations, oil companies,
etc. there just is no competition. all the gasoline we buy today all comes out
of the same pipelines. all controlled by Big Gov. and a few big Oil companies as
a partnership

My 3 cents worth

Clint
