[Farmall] nuisance

We have a similar law here for nuisance vehicles, however, it hasn't proved
to be a problem for most people here who have extra cars, trailers, etc
parked on their property. The law was written for people who basically had
junk yards in their front yards, and kept adding to it every year. Most
people around here, including me, have one or two vehicles that currently
don't run. I have plans to rebuild the engine so that my youngest can have
a clunker to drive when they get their license. As long as it's parked in
such a manner that it doesn't become an eye sore, nobody says anything.
Most people just put them at the back of the property near the woods behind
the house. You have to look pretty close before you seem them. Mine
actually sits in the carport with the other cars that we drive, and you
can't tell it apart. Our law actually says that I have to have it
registered with the state and have a valid license plate on it (I don't
have a plate for it). In fact, I believe we aren't supposed to have more
than five cars total (don't know what some of the larger families with five
or six kids that drive do).

If you're told that you have to get rid of it because it's not running, you
may want to hang a few flower pots on it and around it, then call it a yard
ornament. Maybe put an American flag on it. Put one on each side of the
driveway. Or put a for sale sign on it and price it way out of range, just
never take any offer you get even if somebody is crazy enough to offer what
you're asking.

Maybe you can get a group together to move all your "junk" to a storage lot
and send the bill to the county. Since they're forcing you to move your
treasures they should be willing to pay the price to keep the area neat and
clean. Or better yet, put up a sign that says "OLMSTEAD STORAGE" in your
front yard. I don't think they can take your stuff if you have it in a
storage yard. After all, isn't that what they have storage yards for?

And what about existing junk/salvage yards with cars piled four or five
high? Are they going to force the yard owners to haul away their junkers?
Where would they take them? Home maybe?

Time to get everybody together and get petitions going to clarify what
"NUISANCE" means.
