Garrell:
You be sneaky! :-) You must have been to Fotki and looked at the pictures I
had loaded up to that point! As usual I went nuts tasking pictures.
Something like 270 of them but the auction was very unusual for us. Don't
see that many 30 series in one place very often unless it is a Two Cylinder
Expo. And these were all for sale.
The tractors look nice in the pictures but they all had some serious warts.
They were older restorations and whoever did the restorations wasn't very
fussy. The avid correct police would have gone into cardiac arrest. There
were not many snipers but there was one configuration that had us all
scratching our heads. It was I think a 430T with a Roll-O-Matic tricycle
front end. All the Green Cap guys were asking each other if that was a valid
option. Most didn't think so and now after checking the Parts Catalog it
doesn't appear that was ever offered on a 430T. It was a bit humorous to be
part of and watch us old farts getting all concerned about a stupid little
configuration anomaly! JD Collectors are a breed unto themselves. :-)
I have 25 more pictures to upload and then get them sorted into their
respective buckets and then I'll go public with all the pictures. Sure wish
I had a cable Internet connection!
