[AT] OT: Asparagus & Grits

Any Hawaiians out there??  Not really a Hawaiian, but I spent 3 years in
Hawaii in the Army.  You can flavor poi just like you can with grits.  I
like grits and poi (not together).  But then again, I love asparagus and
avocados too.  If your asparagus is slimey (Like okra) you've cooked it too
long.  A light steaming is all it needs, and it is especially good with
Hollandaise or Bernaise sauce, made with real butter of course.  In Central
America, some native once told me that all a man needs is an avocado and
some beans, and that is a feast fit for a king.

Did anyone ever notice that asparagus and avocados are both John Deere
green???  Maybe that is why some of you don't like to eat them  ;-)
Maybe that is why I like them so much!!!
