[AJD] The grass is definitely greener!

Several years ago when I was snooping around Missouri and looking at homes (had a wild thought,
then came to my sense when I realized I could never afford the fuel or trucking to move all my
junk!) nearly every house we looked at had absolutely beautiful lawns. It finally dawned on me
to ask the real estate agent if what I had surmised was true, that no one had to water their
lawns to get them to look like they did. He said why no, the grass just grew that way.
Well for a Colorado boy accustomed to dumping as much water as is economically feasible on the
grass just to keep it a faded shade of green (and watering is restricted and regulated to boot
in the Denver area as water is a scarce commodity in our Western states) the prospect of little
or no watering sounded like a great idea. Except I realized that it likely also meant that more
mowing would be required and I am not a fan of that! So I will settle for my shade of off tan
on my grass.
