[AT] OT Barn floor question

I guess I'm spoiled growing up in California we  used Redwood (the real stuff 
Sequoia serpentine) for almost anything out of  doors. My septic tank was 
made from redwood and it was 50 years old and still in  good shape. When I came 
up here to Oregon I asked for some redwood to do  something and they handed me 
some fir died red I looked at it and asked the guy  what is this stuff I had 
asked for redwood.
