[Farmall] M&W 9 speed--- was Farmall M question

Turns out the tractor has a 9 speed, first time a clutch job turned up
something good :)    While I have everything apart is there anything I
should check for wear before putting it all back together?  I need to
find a new shift cable- looks like this one snapped and someone cut the
cable housing back flush with the side of the tractor. Is this still
cable still available and if not what was on the end of the cable and
where on the tractor is it mounted?
