The fourth annual show is Nov 12, 13 & 14 at Cumming Fairgrounds, one block
SW of Courthouse. Size of show: 100+ tractors, 100+ small engines, 15+
steam traction engines, could have more good antique iron vendors, camping
free for exhibitors and vendors (ATIS list members can camp free six miles
NW @ our place), $5/day general admission. Last year they offered a two
day steam school before the show (taught by the volunteer instructors from
Pawnee, OK, etc).
The few large tractors (larger than IHC M's) are imports to this area, as
most acreages were small and/or hilly.
Check the website that George has included, most of it has been updated.
They provide a daily van tour of shopping areas, well attended and enjoyed
by the ladies.
Please inform us if you plan coming; Barbara and I would enjoy your
participation, etc.
Best route from north is GA-20; from the northwest use I-75 through
Chattanooga, TN and from northeast use I-85 through Greenville, S.C.
A SEL fellow is considering flying in. Gainesville, GA has a nice airport
25 miles to the east, staffed sunrise to sunset every day, a modest tiedown
fee for small planes, an onsite car rental service, ph 770-532-4136 or 4137.
What have I missed?
Herb
