Dean and Bruce

Thanks for your responses on the gasket cement. Have used a ton of PC-11 on the upper and lower tanks, looks as if the PO used acid for the coolant, as well as having the lower tank welded to repair a freeze crack.. I sure hope that this thing holds water

connections on tractors. Indian Head Gasket Shellac generously applied to
the gasket and the cast surfaces. I even use it on the hose to cast pipe
elbow connections. It has worked for me even on some pretty badly pitted
surfaces. I suspect there has been something better invented since then but
this has always worked for me. Can't teach an old dog new tricks I guess!
:-)

Comes in a bottle with a cotton swab ball attached to the lid. YMMV!

About ready to put the radiator back together for my 530. Since this is my
first attempt, what do most of you guys use on the gaskets. My local source
says that he uses Permatex # 3 since it remains flexable, your thoughts
would be appreciated..
