I just went out and looked at both of mine and it is not on them
either, Charles. My dump truck came from the factory as a 'chassis cab"
and does not have the plate on the door frame, inside the hood or in the
glove compartment like other vehicles. In the glove compartment is a tag
with a whole bunch of numbers that are manufacturer's codes but that is
all. From what I remember when I bought it, everything that went into this
vehicle is represented by those numbers but I don't recall anything that
says the GVCW. I DO know that the tongue weight of one of the trailers
mentioned in posts of 1800# is too heavy for the rear of this truck so
that is probably the answer as far as I am concerned.
