I think, at least in NC, that 102" wide is legal.

I have heard it's illegal to use mobile home tires.  However most tire
dealers can get you "heavy duty" lo-boy tires which will fit the mobile
home rims.  These tires are very durable.

A NC Motorcarrier Officer should be able to tell you for sure. (that's
the old DMV Enforcement people.)  I have found however, that on some
issues you can ask three different officers and get three different
answers!

Jeff not sure about NC but in OH,NY, NJ 99" is the max, outside to
outside,
I know because I've been stoped 3 time in the last year, check the local
