[AT] OT : Boot question for farmer

Farmer,
  I have a question about a pair of snow boots my wife has, the lower
sole has a hole in it from what looks to be bad molding, that side is
very thin. They seem to be normal molded synthetic rubber. I tried to
patch it with standard tire patches and one end held OK but the other
let go. I was wondering if you knew of something that would work to bond
the rubber better than rubber cement? Thanks in advance.
