     Cecil,

         As I recall,  the earliest C-210 had the habit of the top of the 
leading edge flattening
     out which caused a tremendous change in the handling characteristics.  
It wouldn't
     go the full length of the wing .... usually the inboard  1/3 rd of the 
wing.  Have no idea
     how they fixed it.
