neighborhood. Maybe some gang of kids will steal the
valves out of it.

Number 5. reminds me of a kind of related story of the guy that traded his
car for a new one - this meant that he would no longer have any need for a
nice pair of mounted snow tires as they wouldn't fit the new car.  So he sat
the mounted tires out by the road along with a sign that read "FREE."  A
week went by with no takers.  Finally a neighbor suggested "change the sign
to read '$35' and they will be gone by tomorrow."  So he did and they were.
Just to make sure the kids really are motivated to carry through with their
theft, a sign reading "Rare Platinum valve engine" placed alongside the
engine may help -
