Charlie;

I've never actually seen one of those low mileage corvettes sold. But I
do have a friend that bought a Professionally built 1934 Roadster Street
rod for about 25% of the actual appraised value. He paid 10,000 for a
car that was appraised at 60,000. He bought it from the owners ex
wife. They were getting a divorce and the husband instructed the wife's
attorney to sell the car and send him 1/2 of the money. She sold the
car for 15,000 and sent him 7500.

When the husbands lawyer called apparently she told him that she sold
the car for what the husband told her he paid for it.

She knew exactly what it was worth, but there was lots of marital assets
to split and she would rather stick it to the ex than get the money....

Tony got a hell of a deal and had to promise the wife to show the car
every year he owned it a the husbands car club car show.

And he does.....
