[AT] OT, sort of: Harm in keeping clutch engaged while stopped?

Dean,
Your father correct for his time  as throw out bearing were not all that good 
and if you sat on the clutch to long  it would not last. Also you could be 
thinking about riding the clutch while  driving now that would really shorten 
the life of things.
Now we have much  better bearing and clutches and most of those old tales 
just don't work  anymore.
