Take the fan belt off and check the water pump for free rotation. I
fought overheating problems with my Kubota and couldn't figure out what
was causing it until the water pump completely seized and burned up the
fan belt. Then, solving the overheating problem was a no-brainer.

Subject: [AT] SEMI OT: Friend Needs Kabota help

Being I don't know anything at all about Kabota's I have chosen to just
cut
and paste her message here to see what you guys can come up with...

We have a old Kubota L-285 that my parents are giving me and Chris.. and
the
low power take off is out on it... not much of a problem except it is
going
to overheat and stuff now... anyways I was needing to know if you knew
where
I could find a really really cheap shaft to go in the transmission,
currently we have found a old trans for 1000 but we were hoping to find
just
the shaft for cheaper than that! any help would be great...

Anything ya'll can do to help is greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance,
Dave Laughead
