Steve,
	Heck, I wouldn't worry about sticking your foot in your mouth.  I do 
that all the time and it usually doesn't hurt a bit.<g>  The CDC is a 
government agency.  They have to make things appear serious so they can 
keep their funding and jobs.  Pretty simple to me.

	The percentage of exhaust emissions from airplanes using reciprocating 
engines is really very small compared to the jet fleet.  As far as I 
know, only the recips are using any lead in the fuel.  The jets use a 
kerosene type of fuel except in emergencies.  I know of no scheduled 
domestic airlines that use any recips.  There are quite a few freight 
outfits that do use recips, but I bet the overall lead emissions is way 
down compared to 20 years ago.  Probably so low you can't measure it. 
Non-the-less, they tell us we are going to lose the leaded av gas in a 
few years.
