[AJD] Lead in fuel, rant, plea

Steve,
         As mentioned in an earlier post, lead is contained in the gasoline 
used in general aviation, not commercial. Keep in mind that the turbine 
fuel (Jet A) used in commercial airliners does not contain lead. Also as 
mentioned earlier, I agree that the sources for leaded aviation gas are 
becoming fewer and fewer. I know that several of the major pipelines no 
longer carry leaded gas as it causes great headaches in disposing of the 
"interface" that is created between the grades of fuels that are carried. 
This leads to greater trucking distances and the associated increase in 
cost at the airport....Tommy
