Paul, I didn't see where anyone had responded to your request for
information. I believe that Steam Engines was started by a guy named
Campbell, in Northern Calif. back in the 50s. I think he passed away around
1965 and it was taken over by Marion Makinson and Florence Crider of
Pendleton, Ore. That must be when the name changed. A gentleman named Harry
Fisher was their right hand man and I did a lot of correspondence with him.
Somewhere along the way,  Eugene Stoller, of Woodburn, Ore. took it over. I
know that it was published up into the mid '70s but not sure after that. It
was very area oriented and almost more of a family newsletter.
