[AT] Wire size for welder?? Help welder people!

John, I'd suggest using #6 wire -- like for an oven.  The way most of us 
amateurs weld -- ie, intermittently -- smaller feed cables could be used 
(say an #8) since there is time for heat dissipation.  However, I prefer 
setting up for maximum potential capability of the welder.   The larger 
wire also reduces the voltage drop that occurs between the panel and welder.
