I use a Canon G2 myself. It is a 4 Mega Pixel camera and I added a 1G
micro drive. That combination was not cheap but it takes great pictures.

I have an exchange student from France. She wanted a low cost digital
camera so we purchased a Nikon 2200 from office Depot. It was $149 plus
they gave you a $25 Gift card. The camera is 2 Mega Pixel which has
enough resolution for 4x6 and maybe 5x7 pictures. It has features
normally found on more expensive cameras and the software is a pleasure
to use.

They have a series of these cameras 2200 , 3200, 4200 etc. The main
difference is the number of pixels. They all have a movie mode. THe 2200
does not have sound but the others do. Great for putting old tractor
pictures and sound on a web site. There is a review of the 3200 on the

The main thing I like about this setup is it's compact size. Canon has a
A70 ? or something like that that is practically identical. They both get
good battery life and use AA batteries. You need a couple of sets of
rechargeable AA's and a good charger to go along with them.
