Again Walt,

I think the original suggestion, posted by Farmer I believe, was just to
leave it away from the campfire. For exactly the reasons you mentioned.

Every one on this list is too blamed stubborn to ever lose an argument, so
if it can be avoided so much the better.

Good luck with your permit. Don't be surprised if your opposition doesn't
try to work on you from inside the permit office. I politely denied a
neighbors request to dump a 1/4 mile of road drainage onto my property and
from their into my pond to save them about a thousand dollars worth of stone
and grading work to correct their driveway. A month goes by and I receive a
letter on offical stationary from the County Legislative Delegation asking
the same thing. I start calling the representatives listed on top of the
letterhead and, lo and behold, the stationary had been misused by my
neighbor, who WAS secretary for them. Not any more. Some people might have
folded, but I called their bluff.
