Well Dave , I`m sorry to say that the last party I
had was in 2019 , fed over 225 people 550 lbs of crawfish , 20
racks of ribs , 2 cases of chicken quarters , 75 pounds of
fried catfish along with fries , a 55 lb pig cooked for 14 hours
on the pellet grill , and I think about 25 pork steaks . It was
all ready to eat at 11 am . At 3:30 in the evening , all that
was left over was the smell . I had family and FRIENDS from all
across the USA as well as from Brazil and Bulgaria attend for
the one day event . Now that I am getting old and grey ( very
little hair ) , I`m just not up to it any more although I do get
request a lot from family and friends to have it again . Maybe
once we get back to normal and not have to worry about catching
a deadly virus , I may reconsider . You can go to this site and
see all of the people , eats and fun <a

Subject: [AT] Motor problems on a 2008 Ez-Go
G.C.

Let me start off by saying ,
sometimes people says things that sooner or later get
your attention , like the three things you have to
have for a simple motor to run . Fuel , Fire &
Compression . Well , middle of December , my ez-go
golf cart just gave up running where I normally park
it . The little old 2 cyl. Robbins engine is pretty
well worn out ( fouls spark plugs ) so about every 6
months they need changing . So off I go to
Orellies for 2 new plugs , return home and put them in
. It starts and runs for about 5 seconds then dies . I
know that it has gas because I put 5 gallons in the
week before it quits . I check the fire which is good
, stick my finger into the plug hole to check for
compression which it does have a little , so me being
the smart 82 year old man I am ( almost 83 ) , I find
and purchase a used motor ( it was delivered in a 55
gallon drum with the top cut off ) and due to the cold
weather ( 45 & 50 * ) I put of installing it .

Now if you don`t know me , I have
been a mechanic all my life and owned my on business
for the last 25 years before retiring and selling it
. In the latter part of 2020 , I began writing a
short story of my life ( My Dreams as a Small Child
) which my daughter thought was very good and then
had it published through Amazon which turned out to
be 199 pages . In this story I told all about my
experiences as a mechanic and how a man with a ninth
grade education , conquered his dreams .

So , yesterday evening while
watching my son weld on a jet boat and thinking of
what someone recently posted about the three things
needed for a motor to run, I`m sitting there
thinking the weather is getting warm and I need to
make an attempt to replace the Robbins motor , I got
off of my dead butt , walked over to the golf cart
and thought I would give it one more try before
making the swap-out . Sprayed some starting fluid in
the intake ( don`t know if it was 30 % or 70 %
either ) but low and behold , It started and ran as
long as I sprayed , looked at the fuel filter and
couldn't see any fuel moving thru so my thoughts now
is a bad fuel pump . So , before changing that out ,
I thought I would stick a stick into the tank just
to make sure it was full like it was supposed to be
and guess what ? It was completely empty . This
morning , I went and got fresh gas , filled the tank
and in about 30 seconds , it was making music to my
ears . Someone had stole the gas one night ( which
happens often where I live ) and made me look pretty
bad as a mechanic . If you would of told me that is
something that you did , my response would be ,
MECHANIC my ASS and PLEASE don`t tell anyone else as
this is kind of embarrassing , you know what I mean
.
